I am a newcomer to Houston coming from South Florida where I lived
most of my life. What I have found I love about Houston are the people,
and their love of family.
I have two daughters, Kimberly and Krysten and
my grandson, Bodhi. When Kim told me she was
going to adopt a baby I knew I could no longer stay in south Florida
but had to be here to be an active part of his life. So, after fifteen
years with a Regional Bank as their Human Resource Director I put it
behind me and went onto this new phase of my life.
The industry is new to
me however the people I meet are great! I have discovered this is the
best way to learn about my new city, my new home! |

Kimberly
Davis Guerra, Publisher & Co-Owner |
 |
Kimberly Davis Guerra started her
publishing career in Miami working for the publishing giant Knight-Ridder
back in 1991. Her publication was quickly gobbled up by The Economist Newspaper
out of London in 1994 and she was stationed in Houston to open a remote
office. She fell in love with the city and its inhabitants and never looked
back. After travelling extensively, she knew she wanted to settle down
so she looked for a local publication to hang her hat on. She found Houston
Family in 2001 and has not looked back since. Once onboard, Kim began a
mission to drive the magazine to be the best that it can be. Her tireless
efforts, guidance and wealth of knowledge keep the team on track. |

Gayle
Wheeler-LeSueur, Graphic Designer |
 |
Gayle Wheeler-LeSueur has
been a Graphic Designer for more than 10 years. Growing up, she was fascinated
with magazines. She collected them and would make artwork by cutting out
designs and making things out of the colorful paper. She knew one day she
would be involved in the magazine business. After graduating high school,
she took her paper designs to the computer screen and started doing Graphic
Design. She graduated from St. Edward’s University with a B.A. in
Communications in Media Production. After taking time off to travel
the globe, she moved to Sacramento, CA where she worked for a few parenting
magazines in the Bay Area. After a few years, she jumped at the offer to
transfer back to her hometown and work for Houston Family Magazine. She
now works at home as a Freelance Graphic Designer so she can spend more
time with her spirited daughter and loving husband. She actively participates
in Natural Family Living and has a natural approach to health and wellness. |
